Preserving your Vehicle Wraps During Summer

By | Wrap Maintenance | No Comments

Ah, sweet summertime. At our headquarters in New Jersey, summertime means fresh produce, the shore, and humidity. During the months of June to September, there is a big increase in temperatures and high levels of humidity. Not only does it do a number to our hair, but the humidity and heat can also do some damage to vehicle wraps.

During the dog days of summer, vehicle wraps need some extra TLC. Here are some helpful tips for keeping your vehicle wraps in top condition during these heated months.

1. Sun protection

It is best to keep your vehicle blocked from the intense summer sun, whether it is stored in a garage or a shaded area. Our products are built to endure powerful weather conditions, however, keeping your automobile out of the sun helps increase the wrap’s life span. You can also use an approved wax to serve as a sunblock for your vehicle.

2. Storage Temperatures

With that being said, if you do choose to store your wrapped vehicle in a garage, pay careful attention to the temperature. The heat index in New Jersey can reach over 100 degrees during the summer months. For this reason, wrapped vehicles should be stored at about 72 degrees.

3. Cleanings

You want to make the most out of the beautiful wrap your car is cloaked in. Especially during June-September, we notice an increase in smog and pollutants. Because of this, it is ideal to give your vehicle a good washing every once to two weeks. The best method is hand washing, as this preserves the look of the wrap.

3 Reasons Business Cards are Still Important

By | Services | No Comments

In today’s digital age, you’re probably thinking “Why do I need a business card?” Nearly everything we do in business and communication is done digitally. However, that doesn’t mean a business card doesn’t still hold strong to the test of time.

So why are business cards still important?

1. They are an introduction to your brand
Sure, you can email potential leads from your smart phone or send a quick test message to a contact so they can store your contact information. But what does that do for your brand? A business card is your first introduction to your brand. It not only has all your contact information, but it is a sneak peek into your company. It reveals the aesthetic of your organization and possibly even your motto.

2. They are fast and professional
Business cards are also fast. Have you ever randomly met someone that turned into a potential client or sales lead? Maybe it was at a networking event or at the airport. Regardless of where it was at, handing them a business card is much less aggressive and professional than asking them for their number or fidgeting to get your phone out.

3. They make you stand out
Speaking of handing them out faster than typing in all the details in your phone….
A business card helps diversify you and your company (yep it kind of circles back to the branding). A number and email address can get lost in a sea of cell phone contacts, but a business card can stand out. A lot can go into making your business card completely unique to you and your company. We’re talking colors, textures, paper weight, shapes.

Ready to diversify your brand and stand out? Contact us today and learn how we can help build your reputable brand, starting with the business card.

Branding Your Business: Why Custom Apparel Matters

By | Services | No Comments

One of the most important elements of owning a business is branding and the basis of branding stems from your company logo. You put your logo on your company business cards, website, and social media, but do you ever wear your logo?

Custom apparel is a cost effective, low-risk advertising medium that allows you to get your brand facetime. Whether it is hats or embroidered t-shirts or a more polished and professional collared, button down, custom apparel allows companies to expand their marketing initiatives and increase brand recognition.

Just like mobile advertisements, custom branded apparel provides businesses the opportunity to expand their reach and access potential clients in unexpected, unique territories. According to “The Rule of 7 Touches”, it takes a consumer seven interactions with a product or service before they take action. These interactions can come from a magazine ad, a radio commercial, and now through your branded apparel. The best way to influence potential clients taking action is by targeting them through different touches. Adding custom apparel to your line up will allow for increased branding recognition and increased opportunities for consumer touches.

At Designer Wraps, we offer the best quality silk screened and embroidered apparel. All our designs are unique and tailored specifically to each company’s target clientele. Take a tour of some of our products here.

4 Benefits of Storefront Window Graphics

By | Services | No Comments

In a sea of strip malls, small town shopping districts, and mom and pop shops, it can be difficult to make your company stand out. Owning a business means you need sales to thrive. And to do that, you need to attract customers to walk into your store to see all the amazing products and services you have to offer. But that’s the tricky part, getting them to actually enter into the store. That’s where window graphics come in to save this business dilemma. Window graphics offer many benefits to companies, and here are 4 of them.

1. Increase Foot Traffic
Installing custom eye popping graphics will make your storefront visually appealing and will attract customers into your business. Window graphics are completely customizable and can be catered to your specific organization. Which takes us to our next benefit…

2. Flexibility
Window graphics are perfect for the non-committal…or those that like to change things up from time to time. Storefront graphics can be changed as many times you want, when you want. Having a sale that you want to advertise? Put it on your windows. New product that you want to promote? Advertise it on your windows. The possibilities are endless and you can change your window graphics by season, product, or feature sale.

3. Affordable
Because of their non-permanent nature, window graphics are extremely affordable and can be easily tossed into your advertising campaign without breaking the bank. And because of the flexibility mentioned above, your storefront graphics can be modified with each marketing campaign you plan to implement.

4. Practical
You’re already paying for the store space. So, it only makes sense to utilize your pre-existing resources. Get the most bang for your buck and maximize your advertising reach by using what you already have.

Ratted & Worn 2016 Corvette Z06 Livery

By | Designer Wraps News | No Comments

Here’s a brand new Corvette Z06 we recently had the pleasure of working on. The owner came in with his new track car and wanted to both personalize his car while protect it at the same time. He was totally open to any ideas we had regarding the design, the only thing he asked for was his company’s logo to be on the car and to utilize the Italian colors red, white, and green. We partnered with long-time friend Scott Kepple, owner of Skepple, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL on this design concept and he, as usual, knocked it out of the park. The client was ecstatic and absolutely loved the design and end-result.

We printed the design on one of our Large Format Printers, laminated it in a nice matte finish to add to the patina’d effect, then expertly installed the wrap.

The Copper Chrome Factory Five GTM

By | Designer Wraps News | No Comments

This was a design collaboration with our good friend Scott at Skepple Design. We enlisted Scott, based on his success with the “Rust Wrap” craze that was happening globally, to come up with a “true-looking” copper with some patina to bring this vision I had to life. Produced in-house, this color was printed on one of our Mutoh’s directly onto Avery Conform Chrome, than laminated with a Avery DOL 1460 high gloss film to give it that realistic “copper” look. We then added the real rivets (heads) to the car (which we painted a bronze color first) … one-by-one by hand. This thing came out absolutely amazing (oh and by the way, it’s a white car underneath).

We also used Avery Brushed Black Metallic to break-up the copper and make it look more aggressive. The customer saw the car for the first time yesterday (I only told him the idea we had, he had not seen the car at all until he saw it in person when completed) … he was speechless … and that makes it all worth it. Thank you Bob, for entrusting us with your GTM Supercar and giving us the opportunity to create something truly one-of-a-kind and simply amazing!!!

Lastly I want to say Thank You to my team for absolutely killing it! They put in some much time on this project, from Scott working with me on the design; to John prepping the car and breakdown, to of course Aaron on the laboring-love installing the wrap and all the several hundred rivets.
