WRAP LIKE A KING
Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions announced that “Cosmic Norma” by the Designer Wraps team was named the North America East Regional Wrap King. Because of their work in the “Wrap Like a King” Challenge, Designer Wraps is now a winner three years in a row. Their work features a rare purpose-built race car from England called a Norma. So, even without a win, Designer Wraps was excited to be a part of the project. “With only two of these cars in United States, we knew it would make for a special project.” said Sean Tomlin, owner of Designer Wraps.
“The Norma’s fully carbon fiber body made it challenging to wrap. The real carbon is beautiful so the owner and I wanted to leave some of the body exposed, then use it to accentuate the design. We teamed with Vinyl Madness on the Cosmic design, the end result is out of this world! The wrap is printed on Avery’s Conform Chrome and Avery’s V-8000 Series Reflective Sheeting, a few small portions include Avery’s SWF Satin Black. With the V-8000 series NOT being a wrap film, we had to devise new techniques to make it work. In the end, we couldn’t be more happy.”
The car is owned by Forty7 Motorsports located at NJMP in Millville, NJ. The owner actively races the car in International race competitions. Pictures and video of the car can be seen here.
