Does Your Fleet Design Stand Out?

By Designer Wraps News

Stand Out in a Sea of Plain White Vehicles

As a business, your fleet vehicles are more than just tools for getting the job done—they’re mobile billboards. Every time one of your vehicles hits the road, it’s an opportunity to showcase your brand to potential customers. Whether stopped at a traffic light, parked at a job site, or cruising down the highway, your fleet design is making an impression. But is it the right impression?

At Designer Wraps, we know the value of an eye-catching and professional fleet design. It’s one of the most cost-effective marketing tools you have, and when done right, it can deliver an impressive ROI.

Why Fleet Design Matters

Top-performing companies recognize that a well-designed fleet wrap is more than just decoration—it’s a strategic marketing investment. Business owners frequently report seeing returns of 200% or more after investing in custom fleet wraps. These designs not only build brand awareness but also act as powerful lead generators. If your current design isn’t driving results, it might be time to evaluate and possibly rebrand.

What Makes a Fleet Design Successful?

So, how can you tell if your fleet design is working? Start by asking these questions:

  • Are you receiving leads or customer inquiries linked directly to your fleet wraps?
  • Do your vehicles consistently grab attention on the road?
  • Does the design reflect your brand’s identity and values?

A strong fleet design does more than just look good—it communicates your story, professionalism, and what sets you apart.

Branding Like a Pro

If your current design isn’t delivering, it might be time to upgrade. Here are a few key considerations:

  1. Brand Representation: Does your design align with your company’s brand and story? The best wraps are authentic and unique to the business they represent.
  2. Professionalism: A sleek, well-executed design gives potential customers confidence in your services.
  3. Memorability: Bright colors, catchy slogans, and clean graphics can make your vehicles unforgettable.

Take inspiration from successful examples. For instance, one HVAC company revitalized its branding by incorporating a playful yet professional theme into its fleet wraps, resulting in a 131% ROI.

Steps to a Winning Design

  • Involve Your Team: Your employees know your company well. Their input during brainstorming sessions can provide valuable insights and creative ideas.
  • Work with Professionals: Once you have a concept, collaborating with experienced designers can bring your vision to life.
  • Focus on Simplicity: Remember, your vehicles are often seen in passing. A clean, straightforward design with clear contact information is essential.
  • Test and Refine: Start small by wrapping a few vehicles, then gather feedback and monitor results before rolling out the design across your entire fleet.

It’s Not Just About Looks—It’s About ROI

Fleet wraps are an investment, not an expense. While there’s an upfront cost, the long-term returns can far outweigh it. And if budget constraints are a concern, consider implementing the design gradually. Even a partial rollout can deliver noticeable results.

Ready to Make the Cut?

If you’re confident in your design, make it count. If not, it might be time to rethink your approach. Either way, the road to better branding starts with a commitment to stand out.

At Designer Wraps, we’re here to help you create fleet designs that turn heads and drive results. Let’s transform your vehicles into a moving advertisement that works for you. Reach out today to get started!

Phone Free Wraps

By Wrap Design, Wrap News

Topic of the Day: Do Vehicle Wraps Really Need Your Phone Number?

Ah, the great debate of the wrap world: to phone or not to phone? That is the question. Should your brand be bold enough to skip the digits altogether and let your logo do all the talking? Or do you slap your number on there, hoping someone snaps a pic while flying down the highway at definitely not 80 mph? (We won’t judge.)

Let’s be honest—how many of us are whipping out our phones to take a pic of a truck’s phone number mid-commute? Chances are slim unless you’re in desperate need of what they’re selling. What does stick, though, is a memorable brand. A catchy name. A logo so clean and bold it makes you Google them later.

Here’s the thing: a vehicle wrap isn’t a business card—it’s a moving billboard. The goal isn’t an instant call; it’s planting a seed. A strong design makes people think, “Hey, I’ve seen that before!” when they need your service. A giant phone number? Not so much. In fact, here’s a fun little industry truth bomb: the bigger the number, the weaker the brand. Yup.

At Designer Wraps, we include phone numbers on about half of our designs—and only when they don’t mess with the overall aesthetic. And when they do make the cut they’re low on the priority list. Why? Because it’s the name and branding that do the heavy lifting.

What do you think? Are we entering a new era of phone-free wraps? Or does old-school still have a place? Check out the pics below of wraps with and without phone numbers, and let’s hear your thoughts!

Designer Wraps 2019 Wrap Like A King Entry – Continental Delinquent

By Designer Wraps News

PITMAN / GLASSBORO, NJ, September 4, 2019

Designer Wraps is proud announce its 2019 Avery Dennison Wrap Like A King Global Contest Entry … the Continental Delinquent.

Check out our “Making Of” Video on YouTube!

PROJECT DETAILS:

“I wasn’t planning on entering this year, but I was talked into it … we had to find the perfect canvas, and I believe did that. Next, I’ve had the idea of “weaving” brushed vinyl for over four years, just never had the right car to use it on.

I am fairly certain that the “weave” has NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE with vinyl!

That was all I had for this project as for the concept and direction … everything was up to my team of super-crazy-talented designers, installers and helpers. It is with great honor we present to you … the Continental Delinquent.” ~ Sean

designer’s note: “One day I’m designing commercial fleets, prosthetics and casino walls, next day I have a continental boat on my plate! Our project was inspired by many thoughts, concepts, and hesitations. One design element we were going to show off our hidden technique; Weaved Vinyl. Our first direction we wanted to head towards a Lincoln/Presidential spin off and ended off not feeling quite right. With time running out I took my main inspiration towards the checkerboard pattern and creating a mad hatter, punk rock, and rebel approach. My personal experience of our work environment became these three nuances. Thus the creation of a Continental Delinquent.” ~ Casey

installer’s note: “One day he said I was a Leader and so, I started leading…. and well… Wrap Like A King… Here we are!!!! Avery’s world wide competition is an opportunity to showcase my profession, my craft and my passion. My goal is to not just wrap for fun but work on “a super cool project and Wrap Like A King was the perfect excuse”. We are taking the wrap game to another tier this time around and introducing to the world our new technique, Weaved Vinyl! Weaving strips of vinyl one by one over and under, over and under is enough to drive any installer insane. The only way to survive this journey was to call in help from my weaving expert of an alter ego, Samantha!” ~ Olga
